What is SR&ED?
The SR&ED program has existed for over 20 years and is one of Canada’s largest tax incentive programs. Its aim is to create a supportive environment for Canadian businesses to carry out R&D. Businesses conduct R&D activities to develop or modify existing products and/or processes to improve performance, develop intellectual property, reduce costs, or create new markets. Any individual or corporation carrying on qualifying R&D activities in Canada can participate in the program.
